The Digital Marketing & Documentation Specialist Role
Join our Marketing team
based in the UK
Benefits of the role:
UK based position
Competitive salary
100% Remote working
Part time work, in a team who work flexibly
Pet Sitter Plus is an established business software company, providing a cloud-based CRM and scheduling system to companies around the world. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing & Documentation Specialist to join our UK home based Marketing team, led by our Marketing Manager. The role is part time, 20 to 25 hours per week worked flexibly, and as it develops there may be an opportunity to move into full time.
What you’ll be working on
You’ll work across the following projects as part of the wider team.
Commercial website
Our website, petsitterplus.com, markets Pet Sitter Plus globally and generates sales enquiries from new potential clients. You’ll be:
-
Writing and maintaining website content in Wix Studio.
-
Creating screenshots, graphics and videos with Camtasia, Snagit and Canva to show the software in action.
Video production
Our Learning Zone is a library of tutorial videos, hosted on YouTube and inside our software. New clients start with a free trial, and many use these videos to learn the software on their own before they subscribe. As more clients onboard themselves this way, the Learning Zone keeps growing. You’ll be:
-
Writing scripts, then creating and editing videos in Camtasia that explain how to use the software’s features.
-
Maintaining the Learning Zone video list and updating videos when the software changes.
-
Spotting where new videos are needed and scheduling them for production in Monday.com.
Help Center knowledge base
Our Help Center holds over 800 articles. Clients and the wider public use it directly at support.petsitterplus.com or through a widget in our software, searching for answers or raising a ticket for one-to-one help. You’ll be:
-
Writing and maintaining help articles that explain the software’s features in a clear, friendly way, using text, screenshots and links to Learning Zone videos.
-
Social media
-
Writing professional social media posts for our business clients and prospects, and publishing them to an agreed schedule.
Blog
Our blog looks at the wider pet sitting world and helps new pet sitters develop their businesses. You’ll be:
-
Writing creative, interesting articles for the blog, with an eye on how they benefit the business, and sharing them on our social channels.
Client communication
-
Writing and maintaining email templates in our CRM to help the sales team communicate with clients and prospects.
Projects to grow into
Once you’re settled and fully trained, you may have the chance to get involved in:
-
Software development: giving input on the design of the software’s interface and new features.
-
Online advertising and email marketing: improving ad campaigns for clicks and conversions, and creating email campaigns for prospective users in Mailchimp.
-
New releases: documenting software updates in training articles and videos.
We don’t expect you to have used Pet Sitter Plus before. Training is ongoing and tailored to your experience, covering our software and the tools we use, including Camtasia, Snagit, Zoho, Canva, Claude, Freshdesk, Monday.com and our own internal software. Experience of similar tools is useful, as it will help you get up to speed faster. Along the way you’ll build a deep understanding of our clients and how they use our software to run their businesses.
Hours: 20 to 25 hours per week, worked flexibly. You’ll need to be available for some hours during the working day for meetings, calls and emails.

One position available | 20 to 25 hours per week | £18 per hour | Employee contract | Full training provided
Candidate requirements:
This is a business-to-business software marketing role. We’re looking for professional experience of websites, technical writing and marketing. An interest in pets or a background in pet care isn’t needed, and personal social media content creation isn’t a substitute for professional experience.
We value experience gained in other industries and roles. We welcome applications from experienced professionals, people changing career direction, and those returning to work after a break.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, friendly way.
-
Good experience of maintaining websites. Wix experience is preferred, but experience with another website editor is fine as Wix training is given.
-
Experience with a video editor is preferred, though we would consider training the right candidate.
-
Comfortable using AI tools to speed up labour intensive tasks, with good judgement about when AI is and isn’t appropriate for content.
-
Curious, enthusiastic, conscientious and can pick up new software and systems easily.
-
A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as a minimum.
-
A self-starter who can work on projects in a focused environment without lots of interruptions.
-
Practical, with good common sense. You can use your judgement to solve everyday problems and know when to ask for help.
-
Available for some hours during the working day for meetings, calls and emails.
-
You must currently live in and be eligible to work in the UK.
-
Experience of software similar to the tools we use, such as Camtasia, Snagit, Canva, Zoho, Freshdesk or Monday.com, is useful.
