Donna Garratty

Donna Garratty

Donna thoroughly enjoys her role as a Software Coach and Support Analyst, sharing her skills, knowledge, and experience to support other pet care professionals. She feels that in a growing market, pet owners expectations of their service provider is greater than ever.

“To do well in this industry today, not only do you have to be an outstanding pet carer but also you have to be a professional business person. Your success should not be hindered by heavy administration. Having PSP in place in my own pet sitting business enabled me to streamline my operations at the outset. That way I spend more time doing what I love, whilst creating a great customer experience for my clients and their pets.”

Donna is a qualified and experienced trainer, business and performance coach, account manager and sales professional, working previously with individuals and businesses in the public and private sector. In 2016, Donna and her husband had a change of direction and began a career in pet care. Now running a profitable and established pet care and pet transport business, with a large team of pet carers, host families, and house sitters providing a wide range of services, Donna joined the team at Pet Sitter Plus to pass on what she had learned.

Donna attributes much of her success to using Pet Sitter Plus from day one, allowing her to scale her business quickly and effectively. “Supporting the amount of clients, pets and staff across all of those services would’ve been significantly more challenging and time consuming without PSP.”

Donna particularly likes the PSP reporting system. Not only does it give easy access to information for compliance with the latest home boarding legislation in the UK, but as a business owner, she always knows how her business is doing. That way she can adapt her marketing through the seasonal trends so that it continues to grow and be profitable.

Donna lives in Lichfield in Staffordshire with her husband Jeff, their dog Jasmine, cat Timmy, and budgies Joey and Chandler.
